Powell & Mahoney Bloody Mary

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you all had an amazing evening last night and rang in the New Year with some of your favorite people.  If you’re in need of a little hair of the dog or something fun to serve at brunch, you’ve come to the right spot.  I’m teaming up with Powell & Mahoney Craft Cocktail Mixers to bring you a delectable Bloody Mary.

Bloody Marys are one of my favorites.  They’re a staple at most family gatherings, especially this time of year.  My family goes to Charleston the week after Christmas to celebrate a second Christmas with my mom’s side of the family. Mom and her two sisters have been making Bloody Marys for as long as I can remember.  The concoction they mix up has always been referred to as “Recipe” and no one actually knows what’s in it, because it changes slightly every time it’s made.  It’s the tomato juice base and then a bunch of added items with a dash of this and a dash of that.  It’s a really good Bloody Mary.  However, with amazing companies like Powell & Mahoney, there’s no more guessing what’s in the “Recipe” because they’ve created a killer Bloody Mary mix that all you have to add to it is vodka and garnishes.

A creative Bloody Mary bar at a brunch spot warms my heart.  I love to see all the cool things that restaurants offer to put in a Bloody Mary.  You’ve got bacon slices, lemons, limes, pickled veggies, olives, shrimp, and the list goes on and on!  The possibilities are endless.  I personally love loads of pickled veggies and olives in my Bloody Mary with maybe a slice or two of lemon and a stalk of celery.

Be sure to check out all the different kinds of mixers that Powell & Mahoney has to offer.  They’re available in loads of retailers across the US, so you won’t have a problem finding the perfect mixers for your next party.
